The goal of the current project (by 2022) is to develop, test and evaluate tools maximizing building energy flexibility. Specifically, the research deals with the development of integrated management tools suitable for residential and office buildings. These tools provide coordinated operation of building systems (heating, cooling, ventilation, shading, etc.) in order to optimize the demand response to future needs of so-called smart grid with respect to thermal comfort of building occupants. These tools will be tested in real operation as well as in virtual testing environment enabling the analysis of wide range of operational scenarios.
