Development of concrete lightweight columns with carbon reinforcement as an element for load-bearing structures with loading and fire test

The main objective of the proposed project is the development, realization and verification of mechanical and fire resistance of new prefabricated lightweight column made of high performance concrete (HPC) with carbon reinforcement in the form of textiles Existing manufacturing technology focusing on application to a lightweight column with a cavity / lightening core will be verified. The first experiments will be performed on smaller test specimens for column design optimization. Based on these results, columns and their possible fire protection will be designed and realized with following tests of mechanical and fire resistance. Experiments will be focused on the fire resistance of column because it is the biggest obstacle for application in civil engineering before its certification.
