Active Mineral Additives and Related Durability Properties of Portland Cement Based Concrete

Project ID: LTC18063
Funding provider: Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, programme Inter-Excellence, Inter – Cost
Řešitel na UCEEB:  Ing. Pavel Reiterman, PhD.
Investigator at UCEEB: 1. 6. 2018 – 29. 9. 2020

The goal of the project is to describe the mechanism of secondary activation of reactive additions in cementitious composites subjected to environmental – especially freezing – action. The evaluation of active additions with potential to bring „self-healing“ behavior to concrete will be performed. The most active additions will be used for broad experimental program where the activation mechanism, its dynamics and its possible control will be studied by help of experimental characterization of ongoing processes. Further the method for evaluation of self-healing behavior of concrete will be propossed.
